The Venue

The Rattlesnake

The Rattlesnake first opened its doors in 1988 in Stroh’s historic 300 River Place building, once home to Parke Davis & Co. Since that day, The Rattlesnake has consistently set new standards for creative cuisine, exceptional service, and professional catering from its picturesque river view restaurant. Named by founder Jimmy Schmidt to denote the energy of its kitchen and culinary prowess, The Rattlesnake was built on the dream of reviving the Detroit dining scene through the use of local and seasonable ingredients. The restaurant has upheld these goals throughout the years, and continues to evolve much like the city in which it resides.

Today, The Rattlesnake thrives in its Rivertown neighborhood, sitting upon a restored Riverwalk, and allowing guests to gaze out the windows at the glow of downtown Detroit and Windsor while enjoying a meal complemented by the finest service.
